Jamie Gold Strikes a deal with Tropicana Casino in Las Vegas

Jamie GoldUp until 2006, the poker player Jamie Gold was unheard of.  But that all changed when he won the 2006 World Series of Poker for approximately $12 million dollars, the largest prize for the winner to date.  Jamie Gold did a lot of table talking which made his opponents fold when he had weak hands and call when he had the goods.  His unique style of poker which was criticized and applauded by professional poker players is what made him get through the field of 8,773 players.

Now Jamie Gold has been named the Tropicana Poker Spokesperson and Ambassador.  The poker room will be changed to “The Jamie Gold Poker Room”.  “This deal is by far the biggest of its kind and the poker world will be shocked by many of the components as they are unveiled.” said Randy Kasper of Poker Players International.

Tropicana Casino is holding numerous amounts of promotions in the re-launch of the poker room, including the opportunity to play with Jamie Gold in a poker tournament with a buy-in as low as $100.  Gold will appear every day at the Tropicana until mid-January when the re-launch takes place, after that he will appear at least once per month thereafter.

Jamie Gold stated, “This deal with Tropicana covers everything I could have ever wanted in a relationship with a major Las Vegas Strip resort and it will serve as my anchor and the conduit to all of my future poker and philanthropic endeavors,” he continued. “I really couldn’t be more excited!

The Tropicana Casino has been spending hundreds of millions of dollars in the remodel of their hotel and casino which includes the new poker room.  They also offer free daily poker lessons and four daily tournaments throughout the day.
